PHOTOGRAPHY: Dandelion by Duy Anh Nhan Duc
Vegetal artist Duy Anh Nhan Duc has collaborated with photographer Isabelle Chapuis for the poetical series Dandelion. The photographs present dandelions as a soft, whimsical, and most importantly, beautiful.
There’s a whole other city located inside the city of Parma, Italy. It’s made entirely out of bricks and has a population of one. Photographer Matteo Mezzadri created this miniature brick city inside his art studio for a photo series entitled The Minimal City, for which he won a Sony World Photography Award last year.
After building his model city Mezzadri set about shooting photos that are technically still lifes, but have the look and feel of street photography. His photos explore the architectural density of this hauntingly empty miniature metropolis and the play of light on its buildings. It’s an artificial city, but the longer we look at it, the more we expect to see tiny buses and cars and even tinier people appear from between the buildings.
Visit Matteo Mezzadri’s website for additional photos and information about this striking project.
